Arrive at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, where your guide greets you and escorts you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short orientation walk around Sukhbaatar Square, visit Gandan Monastery, or simply rest after your journey.

Begin your overland journey across Mongolia’s vast steppe.
Drive south to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a dramatic granite rock formation rising unexpectedly from the open plains. Explore its sacred sites, such as eye-healing spring, ancient caves and petroglyphs and hidden rock valleys once used by monks. This is a perfect place for photography, short hikes, and enjoying the peace of the countryside.

Continue your journey to the breathtaking Tsagaan Suvarga, a natural limestone masterpiece sculpted by wind and time. Marvel at the towering cliffs, streaked with colors of white, pink, yellow, and orange. Walk along the ridge for panoramic views and explore the ancient seabed layers exposed by erosion. Sunset here is unforgettable as the cliffs ignite in warm golden tones.

Enter the dramatic landscapes of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park.
Reach Yol Valley, a deep gorge carved by ancient glaciers. Take a scenic hike through the canyon, where you may encounter Lammergeier vultures, Argali wild sheep and Ibex on rocky cliffs. Admire the unexpected greenery and mountain streams hidden within the desert mountains.

Drive to the magnificent Khongor Sand Dunes, stretching more than 180 km across the Gobi Desert. Visit a nomadic camel herder family and learn about traditional desert life.
Enjoy an optional camel ride along the dunes and experience the silence and vastness of the desert. Climb the highest dune at sunset to enjoy panoramic views and hear the famous “singing sands.” Overnight in a ger camp.
Head toward Bayanzag, known worldwide as the Flaming Cliffs, where American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews discovered dinosaur fossils in the 1920s.
Walk the red sandstone formations glowing under the sun, explore the saxaul forest, and feel the ancient history beneath your feet.

Travel to Ongiin Monastery, a peaceful and historically rich site located along the riverbank.

Continue to Kharkhorin, the 13th-century capital of the Mongol Empire founded by Ogedei Khan. Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest surviving monastery, surrounded by 108 white stupas. Depart from Kharkhorin after breakfast and begin your journey toward Hustai National Park, home to the world’s last remaining wild horses—the Takhi (Przewalski’s horse). Along the way, enjoy views of the rolling green steppe, passing herder families, grazing livestock, and traditional nomadic gers. Upon arrival in Hustai National Park, visit the small information center to learn about the reintroduction program and the conservation efforts that brought the Takhi back from extinction in the wild. This morning after breakfast, depart Ulaanbaatar and drive east toward Terelj National Park. As you leave the city, the scenery quickly opens into rolling hills, rocky formations, and peaceful river valleys. Upon entering the national park, begin your sightseeing with a stop at: Turtle Rock a natural granite formation shaped like a giant turtle and Ariyabal Meditation Temple reached by a gentle hike; enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and forest In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the tranquil environment of Terelj. Optional activities include short hikes, horseback riding, or visiting a local nomadic family to experience traditional daily life. After breakfast at your ger camp, begin your return drive toward Ulaanbaatar. On the way, stop at the impressive Chingis Khaan Statue Complex, the world’s largest equestrian statue standing 40 meters tall. After the visit, continue your drive to Ulaanbaatar (about 1 hour). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure for shopping, relaxation, or optional city activities. Overnight in Ulaanbaatar.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time depending on your flight schedule. Your driver will transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure.
